oh, time and space, a curious sight
like wobbly jello or a cloud,
they share a rule with all their might,
a secret whispered half-aloud.
if you sit still, a sleepy snail,
and watch the world go drifting past,
then time unfolds a gentle trail,
and makes the quiet moments last.
but if you zoom, a speedy sprout,
a whizzing, rushing flibber-floo!
then space itself just stretches out,
and time feels hurried, it is true.
imagine they've a bucket near,
of stuff we'll call the spatio-goo;
when space takes lots, it's very clear,
less time remains for me and you.
so next time you race, remember this,
a secret shared between us two,
it's spacetime's tricky little twist,
and how it offers few moments.
the clocks are only dreaming things,
of where you go and what you do;
while spacetime pulls its funny strings,
it feels quite different just for you.
